December 24 First United Methodist Church of Gallatin will hold their traditional Christmas Eve Communion/ Candlelight Services at 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. in the church sanctuary. The nursery is available at 5 p.m. only. First Methodist holds open communion and all believers are welcome. December 24 Indian Hills Baptist Church is hosting a simple, worshipful Christmas Eve Service at 7 p.m. at 901 Long Hollow Pike. January 5 About Books meets 12:00 -1:00 p.m. at the UT Extension Office. The club is reading any book on Abraham Lincoln. He became President during what could be considered our nation’s worst crisis, and because of that he is one of our most well known presidents. FYI A Support group for Parkinsons patients and spouses/caregivers meets at The Blackeyed Pea restaurant in Hendersonville the first Monday of every month at 6 p.m. Alzheimer’s Support Group meets the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at Elmcroft of Hendersonville, 1020 Carrington Place, 264-2440. The Gallatin Public Library, 123 E. Main St., will offer Bingo! in the library, meeting rooms on Wednesday afternoons, 3:00-4:00 p.m. Bingo! is open to the public and for all ages.
