Local Girl Scout Annalea Wilson, Troop 1162, spearheaded the renovation of Floral Hall at the Sumner County Fairgrounds as her service project to earn her Gold Award. Wilson, a high school student at Pope John Paul II, started as a Brownie Scout at the age of five. The 80-hour project included cleaning, painting, repair work, new indoor/outdoor carpeting, new benches, new flags, new shelves and more. Joining Wilson are her family and friends, and Sumner County Fair Board members Link Womack, Tommy Womack and Jimmy Moore, and Gallatin City Councilman Jimmy Overton who wields the giant scissors to the cut the ribbon.
