To the Editor,

Gallatin is such a unique town with its state-of-the-art library, well-maintained homes and businesses, beautiful churches and friendly people. Our recently renovated square with its bustling business is an attribute of our unique southern town and it’s a pleasure to see all its pretty trees, shrubs and flowers. Particularly at this time of year the hanging baskets of petunias add beauty to the downtown area.

Thank you to Greater Gallatin for making Gallatin what I consider the Showplace of the South! A special thanks, too, to Travis, who waters the flowers each day. Visitors and tourists must surely be impressed as they come through our town. I live in Cairo, but Gallatin is my town!
